Blood Spatter against camera lens

I am wanting to make a blood splatter effect that will have the blood splatter against the camera lens. I have looked at the ones on detonation films, I want to create the effect myself so that I will have more control. My problem is that I don't know how to do it. Any and all help is and will be greatly appreciated.
