Re: Stopping the camera from going into standby

Your XL1 is powering down as a safety measure in case you have a tape inserted in Record Standby mode - this is so that a tape head clog does not occur... if you want to prevent the camera from powering down while in Record Standby mode, try simply removing the tape from the camera. As far as I know, this will prevent the XL1 from powering down.
