I just talked to a Panasonic engineer who tells me that the HVX200 puts an MXP "Wrapper" on what goes to the FireStore. When played back from the firestore, nothing else understands the stream but the HVX200, since it created it. So, I guess this process may not work. However, because the HDX900 does not do P2 cards or the MXF wrapper, it would work. I don't totally understand the "Wrapper" system, so I can't comment on that. When you did all of this with the HD1200A, where did the footage on the firestore originate? HDX900? HVX200? Other?
If anyone feels this should still work and that I've been misinformed, please let me know.
Thanks.
