G Drive Q 1TB not able to repair
by Brandon Gust on Oct 21, 2009 at 5:31:43 pm

I have a very similar, if no identical problem to Rolf van Groenewoud on Oct 16, 2009. I bought the drive(along with another for backup) from B&H photovideo.com on july 7, 2009. I am using a new macbook pro. I have never used timemachine to backup files on this or any of my drives. I have used the drive less than ten times. a few days ago i went to power up the drive and a message came up in the disk utility saying that the disk was damaged and unreadable. I folowed the instructions of the disk utility to repair the disk. the task bar would get stuck at the beginning of the task. I also tried erasing and formating the drive because i have all of the data backed up on other drives. Once again the task bar got stuck near the begining. I could not dismount the drive properly, and was forced to power off the drive.
I also got the message that it was removed improperly.

I need this drive.

please help.

thanks in advance.

BG
