Which G-Raid
by Chris Barnard on Jun 29, 2009 at 12:04:56 pm

Hi,

I'm upgrading to a totally new HD editing system and I wanted to make sure I'm getting the right stuff!

I getting the Matrox Rt.x2 with Adobe Production Prem, acquiring XDCAM EX footage, and I'd like to simply edit with an external G-RAID device. I don't see any specs for editing of progressive footage, only interlaced. Would I edit in Prem pro using SD proxy footage and then export in progressive? Would a G-RAID device handle that? I guess I would probably mostly be outputting interlaced stuff though, but I'd like to have the option of working with progressive.

Which products would be best?

Thanks!

Chris
