Re: Replacing drives in 1st gen G-Raid 500

In a thread below I read the 500Gb unit had a different controller. Could that be the culprit. My 320GB is working just fine. Maybe the 500Gb units overheat? Maybe the Hitachi 250s suck? Any ideas? Can I put two 160Gb drives in a 500Gb enclosure? Will the 500Gb controller work with 160Gb drives? Is this a bad idea?
