Organizing my reel

I have a question about how to organize all of my material.
Originally I made a bunch of short videos (each thirty seconds to a minute usually) highlighting different projects I had worked on. I was planning on making a menu where you could navigate between the different sections.
(based on the idea from http://www.weddingfilmdesign.com/real.htm )
However, I'm reading more about reels and it seems conventional wisdom is to make it as short as possible. I'm having a hard time organizing my work, since I want to show off my personal work, my event videography, and also my corporate/promotional material.
I think my problem is that I want to advertise my side business (doing videography), but I also want to advertise myself to potential employers. Too many goals at once! How do I market my different skills while not confusing potential clients? Should I have one short video for each job description, or can multiple short videos be acceptable on a website?
I'm out of school now and it's harder for me to get advice, so any feedback on this is greatly appreciated.
