Out of memory

DVDit PRO HD

When working with the subtitle editor - after adding quite a lot of subtitles, I notice the editor is slowing down and finall I get an "out of memory" message.
Can this be because of the size of my "virtual memory"?
If so, what size is recommended?
I have 2Gb RAM on the machine.

Regards,
Douglas
