Motion Menu Tips & Observations

The project I just ran had 3 motion menus in 5.2. Here's a few things I discovered.
Menu Construction: Motion Layer- AE video/type build output as MS-DV and encoded using Cinemacraft SP. Button Layer: 720 X 540 PSD, Overlay and Image layers.
1. The video layers do not scale properly in the composition window. However, output will be perfect. So, for composition make a make a PSD at 720 X 540 from the video stream. Bring it in as a background picture, place the buttons and then replace the still with the motion clip. The video clip will look streched, but don't worry about it. The disc will look fine.
2. When bringing in the Button, be sure to choose "use image sub-picture" (or some verbage close to that).
3. After setting the Active Area, choose "none" for fill.
4. The active state toggle in the menu composing window will show nothing. But have faith, it's there. Check it out in the preview window.
