I posted this over on the apple forum as well:

Is it possible to send a Motion Generator over to FCPX with an embedded audio track? For example I create a Bars and Tone Generator. The source file is a 10 second QT movie with an audio track. I can send this over to FCPX with no problem. However the generator's audio track is inaudiable when laying this into the FCPX timeline.
