First of all, my advice here is that there are no shortcuts. I would start with doing due diligence. Investigate, research your industry and get as much information as possible first. I DONT necessarily recommend the internet as a resource though because a lot of information there can be falsified and may not be reliable. What may appear as information may in fact be falsified, unless its from a reliable journal, such as the New York Times, Hollywood Reporter, etc. Then I would do the legwork and find networking arenas and communicate with others that are more successful than you are. Ask them for advice. They might even give you a referral. The most important thing though is that you really need to research on your own. You might also want to contact industry associations and ask for advice. There are no shortcuts and in time and with luck you will succeed and grow within the industry that you want to specialize in. It just takes perseverance, patience, hard work and a little luck.
