Chris,

I'm assuming you have HDV ON A TAPE, and you are having issues capturing. I can tell you that Sony has 24p (progressive scan sensors on this camera) HDV but it adds 3:2 pulldown creating 60i so that it will play on any NTSC monitor. The 24p look is in this 60i recording. Your easy setup should be HDV 60i and with many NLE's like Final Cut you can remove this pulldown if you choose to capture as Pro Rez.
