Not sure what your intentions are as far as monitor usage. I've worked on this switcher once, so I'm by no means an expert! That said, the switcher has a "Multi" output that sends a screen with 2 Larger Prgm & Prvw windows, and smaller windows for the inputs/cameras. A higlight box around the input windows tallys prvw and prgrm bussing. I would probably not use the Multi window to match cameras, but rather the old-fashioned vertical and horizontal wipes between the cameras off the program bus to match them, especially as I doubt you have an engineering rack with ccu's, waveform monitor, etc.

So if the Panasonic monitor has HD_SDI in, you can use the HD_SDI output that I believe is standard with the switcher. As you already figured out, you are going to have to match the input/output formats, (SDI, analog component, HDMI) with the switchers inputs and outputs and there are various 'conversion' boxes out there. However, I believe Panasonic makes a few different 'optional' boards that may be cheaper than buying a bunch of conversion boxes.

All in all, I liked the switcher. Hope my ramblings help :-)
