HDV Workflow
by

I know there has got to be a post about a basic HDV Workflow but darned if I can find one that makes sense.
I just received some HDV 1080/60I footage with the end goal of making a widescreen dvd. It was captured using firewire from a sony Z5U. I don't have the horsepower to edit HDV natively so can anyone suggest a link to a workflow which includes either an
intermediate codec or some other method of achieving my goal.
I tried dropping the 1080 HDV footage into a widescreen dv project and it plays great. It wouldn't be that simple would it?
If it would save me a generation I could, of course, generate DVD compatible files right from Premiere Pro CS3.
Any and all ideas greatly appreciated.
Dan
