I've used it quite a bit with HDV and it's either a smashing success or never mind. I don't know if this is an HDV issue, but sometimes you get unpredictable results. Areas of the image that pulse or blow up more than the rest. I haven't tried capturing in ProRes422 to see if that fixes things.
