I have used Sony DVM60PR (10 for $20 at Costco) without any problems as long as I don't reuse the tapes. Interestingly enough, I had regular dropouts with the Sony DVM63HD tapes ( 10 bucks a tape ) during first time use.

I wish I was good at one thing rather than average at many, but oh well.
