Thanks for the advice. That is what I will be doing especially after experimenting some more. Definitely all manual. Brilliant camera. Do you know is down converting footage from tape shot in HDV to SD in my editing program will result in better footage than the DVCAM AVI that I will be recording to CF card while shooting this? Is there any loss in quality when Premiere converts TYPE 1 AVI from the CF card to TYPE 2 for editing?
