Importing JPGS into HDV -- Settings for 1440x1080
by Mark Shepherd on May 18, 2008 at 4:17:51 pm

I posted this on the FCP forum with no help, so I thought that I would try here. You guys look much smarter. Especially Harry..

I am editing in HDV using FCP 6.0 and I want to input JPGS stills from IPHOTO into a FCP sequence, and ouput it to HDV.

I want to have the JPG stills to be the proper 16/9 aspect ratio and fill the entire HDV frame of 1440x1080 pixels. I am importing a folder of THOUSANDS of JPGS, so I cannot resize them individually. I know the problem is the square rectangle pixel issue.. Also in a perfect world I would really like to import them at full raster 1920/1080. Any real world advice would be appreciated for the proper settings. thanks
