HDV Sony HVR M15U playback issues
by Tyler Elynuik on May 14, 2008 at 8:28:19 pm

Hello, I've just received some tapes back from a camera crew that is shooting in India. They shot HDV on the Canon HV20. When I loaded them in my deck I couldn't get an image when in normal play but did when I hit fast forward. I switched between 50i and 60i (in case it was an NTSC/PAL issue) with the same result. I also was told they might have shot in 24p so I tried them in a Sony HDV HVR VIU (which can handle 24p) and had the same result.

Can anyone help or suggest an alternate deck?
Thanx.
