I second Douglas' advice, my preference being SheerVideo as it is *completely* lossless. When it comes to CC and effects I tend to be uncompromising. I know that ProRes and others are "visually" lossless but the step to be mathematically lossless is not bit and when it comes to CC and HDV every bit counts.
