24p stutter - yuk!

24p stutter - yuk!

I have a Canon HV20 which is just fantastic in a number of ways. But when I tried out the 24p mode I get picture stutter when I move the camcorder, especially with pans. I noticed this stutter in the JVC HD100 which shoots only progressive 30p and 24p.

Is there a way to get rid of this stutter in the editing process, perhaps with 3/2 pulldown? I have FCP 4.5, and I can downcovert HDV to SD for capture and editing.
