HDV format difference: Canon XL-H1 and Sony Z1U/V1U
by duendesoy on Nov 2, 2007 at 3:02:23 am

Ok - I goofed. I have a video shoot tomorrow and Saturday for a live dance concert (i.e. large stage, full theatrical lighting) and I will probably end up with the following cameras on a three camera set-up.

Left - Canon XL-H1 (for close-ups and mid range shots)
Center - Sony V1U (or Z1u) - for wide angle shots.
Right - Canon XL-H1 (for close-ups and mid range shots)

Although I would have preferred to have the same make and model for each position, should I be concerned about any noticable differences in the quality of the recording if each camera is shooting in HDV, 1080i 60i? I will be doing my post-editing in FCP 6 and, aside from any color corrections needed between the three, I am just want to be prepared for anything.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Am I being paranoid?
