DVFilm Maker HDV conversion problems

Hey All,
I'm having problems converting a movie I created from DVFilm Maker 2.11. I shot it on the Sony Z1 at 60i. As per instructed on the DVFilm website, I converted the movie to 23.98 FPS. I used
"convert 60i to 24P" and "use 23.97 exact". Now I'm having a problem trying to convert the file into other forms. I tried convertig it to 1920x1080 (from the original 1440x1080) to various codecs in Quicktime, FCP 6, and Compressor. It crashed every program.
Has anyone else had this problem with DVFilm maker and HDV files? I would ask on their forums, but it doesn't seem like anyone really responds to it. The outputted file itself plays well on my system in any of the programs I used. I have a MBP 2.33Ghz, 3 GB RAM, and Final Cut Studio 2. If anyone knows a way for me to convert this file, please let me know! Thanks again.
