All these guys have you covered. With a tower I recommend the AJA cards, for they can input and output. Capture HDV as DVCPRO HD and you life is MUCH easier. The only issue is that with the AJA or Decklink options, the monitors you need to buy for color correction start at $4000. Panasonic BT-LH1700W and 2600W, there are Sony LCD options, eCinema...all start at about $4k.

But, with the MXO, you can get broadcast colors with an Apple Cinema Display. And with the new Proc Amp in the new version of the software, you can set up the monitor to bars. HD monitoring and color correction for under $2000...including the MXO and the Apple display. The AJA alone runs you $1750 - $2400. But the MXO is output only...fine if you capture your footage via firewire like HDV, DVCPRO HD and XDCAM.
Outputs SDI, composite, component, and DVI to a monitor.

Great box.
