hello

could someone shed a little light on our not-quite-working setup?

we're shooting a 75 minute creative documentary and have taken in all the footage to FCP as PAL HDV 1080i (shot on a Z1) via a Sony HVR-M15E deck, which we've got hooked up to a Promac Quad Processor G5 (about 6 months old). We're storing and backing up on G-Raids (no complaints there, i love those drives).

The main problem is that we cannot monitor from the timeline on our JVC TM-H150CG. i was hoping that we could monitor in Standard Def if we came out through the deck, but that doesn't seem to be the case...unless...you know different! Is there a setting within the deck to downconvert that we have overlooked somehow, or is this just not possible in HDV and without something like a Blackmagic card...

any help most gratefully appreciated
