HDV audio sync seems off in QT exports from timeline
by WideWorld HD on Aug 1, 2006 at 4:55:18 pm

Hi All,

I'm capturing and editing HDV material using the HDV Easy Setup and all is good. Ive been editing this material for six months and now its time to export. When I go to render my final movie using Export as QT Movie, the audio drifts out of sync in the exported movie. It starts fine, but by about 20 minutes it is noticably off by several frames. . At first I thought it had to do with creating a 'reference' movie rather than self-contained (trying to save space, I have six 25 minute sequences to render out), but even when I mkae it self-contained I still experience this problem.
I need to create a good in-sync export so that I can go into Compressor and make DVDs. Any ideas what could cause the audio to render out of sync (drift) in an HDV movie. Ive done this thing before without any problems.
