I went to Video Forum here in the UK today and got a chance to see all the low budget HD cameras in one place

JVC HD100 - very nice form factor, the lens is nowhere near as bad as I have read, pictures look great, focus assist is also very good as well
I was much more impressed with this camera than I expected to be.

Canon H1 - I've actually shot with this but it was interesting to see it with the lens adapters, this really is a very good camera, great resolution and lots of settings to play with, 25F mode is very convincing too.

HVX200 - Viewfinder isn't great but not as bad as I expected, very nice pictures, not very intuitive menu system but LOTS of options it looks like a DVX100 that's eaten way too much fast food. Price in the UK is more than US but not TOO much.

Sony XDCam HD F330 - full size camera body, which I didn't expect, 1 inch viewfinder that isn't so great, flip out LCD isn't as good as the Z1's, had the Canon AF lens attached which seemed OK but the fact they are both silver made them look a little semi-pro. Pictures however looked good, but couldn't see recorded output.

Sony XDcam HD F350 much better 2" Viewfinder had the "Pro" Canon lens, whole package felt a lot more professional, pictures were marginally better than the 330 because of the better lens - very impressed with the look and feel of this camera, if he recorded images are as good as they promise then I'll certainly be hiring them.

Had a good demo of Matrox Axio with PPro 2, very impressed, it could tempt over to "The Dark Side" in the future.

Saw a 46" 1920 x 1080 LCD TV showing some stunning Carnivale footage. I continue to be amazed at the quality of HD

Basically its all good, glad I didn't take my credit card.
