Playback multiple avi files simultaneously

Looking for some advice on playbacks of multiple avi files.

Windows user - Mac out of the question at present.

I am looking for a simple solution which will allow me cue up 3 or 4 avi video files, and start them playing back at the same time. Using a laptop, a matrox tripleheadtogo and three projectors I want to play the three (different) avi files on the three projectors at the same time. Cost is an issue - local amateur production - and this is the first go at making this work....

Many thanks for any suggestions at all - even if it is to say it won't work!!...
