There is also a free utility on the Harris Premiere website that can convert DPS/DVA files to virtual AVIs. It involves installing two small utilities, one called DPS AVI codec, and the other called DPS software player. What it basically does is install a codec that converts the .dva audio file into an audio only .avi that then points to the dps video file already on the drive.
The software player installs a direct show filter that then registers all this so Windows Media Player and virtually any other software that reads AVI files can then see the files as well. So if your Whiplash system can read avi files, it should then be able to import the dva/dps files.
If you have dps files without audio, converting to the avi's just creates a 1kb .avi (with no audio of course) that points to the dps video file. This is a free solution compared to the IVS route, but the IVS solution is a LOT easier and faster.
