If you have other drive arrays, like SATA, shared storage etc. It wouldn't hurt to test it. I've never understood the explanation of why Reality won't work without using the onboard SCSI, and we've proven that at least on the playback side, it's not actually true.
If I get a few minutes tomorrow, I'll try capturing to the shared storage and see what I get. I think the only input we have coming into the Reality based system is DVD video via S-video...so I'll give that a go and try 7MB/sec, 10MB/sec and uncompressed and report back.
