Hello - I am very new to DSP and posting on this forum. Have used Creative Cow many times to troubleshoot issues and the advice is a godsend.
Here is my current problem: I am working on a DVD project and designed the menu backgrounds & custom button shape (see pic) in Photoshop and the navigational buttons in DSP using the text function. Even though I am using the same font, effects, etc. the buttons look different compared to each other on the screen when viewing the burned DVD.
For instance, some of the text has an orange glow, which is the selected color and some does not; the highlight color when active does not always show up as the same blue chosen even though it is RGB coded to be so.
The font used on the menus has serifs and some letters are more pixelated than others - even if it is the same letter. On the menu headings, which are not active buttons, the text looks smoother and more readable, but those same words as an active button is very pixelated.
There doesn't seem to be any consistency with the text even though I've copied and pasted each button so that their assets, etc. are identical.
In addition, when you click on a button some of the other buttons on that page turn white and some stay their original color which shouldn't happen at all. I could live with it if they all turned white but it's not the case.
Last thing, on the Main menu page when you click on "CHAPTERS", one of the other choices also turns the active color and then the words "CHAPTERS" and "EXTRAS" completely disappear.
As you can see there are a lot of glitches. Here are a few pictures so you can see some of the issues.
Thanks so much you for your help/advice.
Jen
