Noah - here is where I will show my ignorance.

Regarding downconversion: Are you referring to the downconversion of the actual video files or of the titles that I am trying to create on the DVD menu screen?

The videos that are on the DVD were compressed in compressor at DVD 90 minute best resolution. They look and play how I would expect within the DVD in both simulate and on burned DVD's. It is the titles that look like hell. I just created vector text titles for the two videos in Illustrator and am trying to get them to look right, but essentially my issue lies in just the pixelated text. Go gently on me, but help if you can. Sorry to be so ignorant.
