DDP2.10 & layer break issues at duplicators
by Matt Compton on Feb 5, 2010 at 1:58:00 pm

Hi,

Im having a major issue with layer break points at the duplicators, they are finding errors saying that the layer break point is incorrect as the media on the first layer of the DVD is too large!

Im using DVD Studio Pro 4 (4.2.1) on Mac Pro Quad.

When building the DVD (16x9, SD, 6GB total media) DVD Studio shows that the disc is not full with the 6GB content & the break point has been accepted, however the DDP2.1 says differently!

All assets have been re-encoded from scratch & the project has also been re-built, the assets have also been chunked into exact pairs of 3GB per layer giving the disk plenty of space on both sides, DVD Studio still builds the DDP file saying that all is fine yet the duplicators are unable to master from it!

Anyone come across this issue? or know a work around for it?

Cheers in advance!

Matt
