Re: HD to SD encoding (slighty Off Topic?)

Hi Michael

sorry I badly worded my question. I would ascertain if the source was progressive though as it was created for digital cinema 'print' then the chances are it is. And I would react accordingly. And I should have said I would change one of my normal Cinemacraft presets that I have created from interlaced to progressive if necessary

The main thrust of my question is really that the footage will be Full frame HD at 25fps and I need it to be PAL SD - so can I safely use compressor with cinemacraft to do the frame resizing or should I use FCP to do the frame resizing and then create the encode as I would normally.

Hope that makes sense.
