For standard DVD players you need to use the SD-DVD red laser option. The HD-DVD option will not make your SD-DVD project look any better, it will just make it not work in standard def (non HD-DVD) players.

If you already have the project done using the HD-DVD option I believe you will have to reauthor the entire project in SD-DVD mode.
