Bouke,

you are absolutely right about Joe Clark, but I think his article is still relevant at least in one sentence: DVD SP lulls you into thinking subtitling is easy, while it is not.
The whole authoring business is difficult to get right, but it seems too easy for too many people, especially when Apple wants them to think that way.

Our suggestions are based on years of experience, but people see them as complicating workarounds instead of right workflows. They never seem to realize that a slightly convoluted way of doing things might save them days of work and frustration.
