There is no such setting, unless you want to make sure that your dvd never gets played on a 4:3 TV. Because if it is it has to be letterboxed or it will look squished. So you have to choice letterbox or pan and scan, which will center crop the video to fit full screen 4:3 TVs so you lose the left and right of the image.
