Audio issue Very confusing, please Help!

Hi
I have created a DVD using DVD SP, exporting from FCP via compressor its a SD NTSC project, using best quality 90 min AIFF and Mpeg settings in compressor. when I play it on our Mac Pro it plays fine and also on my colleagues PC. However when I play it on a standard DVD player it does not play a section of audio which is the talent speaking. Strangely it plays the music but not his voice. all the rest of the audio is fine and in all the simulations there is no problems either. The audio in question has been adjusted using the AUGraphic EQ filter to remove some background noise but surely this cannot be to blame. I have tried a few things but with no luck so any suggestions would be amazing.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Sri
