I think it was your posting that convinced me of the 7.0 setting.

But I'm not seeing CBR in the settings of the version of Compressor I have (I have one version below the most recent version included with FCP studio 2). It's just One Pass, and it's only an "Average Setting" That's the issue I'm having - I can't seem to "force" the bitrate higher then 5.6 (even though I set the average to 7.0)

Re: the gamma, how would you then recommend me addressing the dark looking video result from compressor? Should I use a lower gamma setting?
