I personally haven't gotten as good results when using DVD Studio Pro to encode, but essentially as a time saver, it is probably better if you don't want to tie up Final Cut and Compressor. I only wish there was an easier way to save off multiple encodes from Final Cut Pro, it is totally crap, you have to quit the application after saving an encode sequence each time go back to final cut, select another timeline or in and out points and then set up an encode again in Compressor. There should be a way to tap into a Final Cut Pro Timeline from compressor and encode several timelines in a queue that way. I have to do it all the time. I am working on several projects at once, and often encode them all at the same time overnight, sometimes for a couple of days.
