I'm shocked that BitVice looks horrible. BV to me is one of the best compressors out there even though it's fairly old...I've used it hundreds of times with outstanding results!

I would also double check your source video...if it's really uncompressed video (10 bit would be better) it should turn out fine. but if you are starting out with a DV quality (or worse), it can turn out pretty craptastic!
