I didn't really explain myself properly. I knew that the 90 minute compression didn't take 90 minutes, but I did think it was making a bigger deal than it needed to be.
I used to have terrible trouble with Compressor, so I wrote it off and was doing that QuickTime dance for a while. The quality was great.
As for this project: I had already made non-self-contained QuickTime Movies, so I put those through Compressor's 90 minute best quality encode. They came out a bit funny looking (a little jerky and still very red), but overall it's the best I've seen them yet. I also had a couple unexplainable audio dropouts when I linked QuickTime exported aiff files with their respective m2v files in DVDSP. The dropouts only appearred after burning the DVDs - not in the simulator. In a quest for better quality I'm going straight from the FCP sequence and exporting "to Compressor". We'll see how that works out.
Thanks for your reply,
Kenny
