Not sure what you mean by authoring a DVD-9 to 2- DVD-5's but if that means you want to take the contents (Video_TS and possibly Audio TS) from a DVD-9 and put it on DVD-5's

And assuming you are the rightful owner of the original DVD content.

Download mactheripper and extract those folders from the DVD-9. There are other tools that do this as well. There you will have one Video_TS folder that is too big for a DVD-5. Purchase Roxio Popcorn and use it to further compress the content to fit on one DVD-5.

Popcorn does a very GOOD job of taking 5-7 GB of MPEG'd data and compressing it to 4.4 GB.

The only other way I know of to put it onto 2 DVD-5's is to re edit/author the content into two Video_TS outputs.
