Layer Node??

titan3iumLayer Node??

I have been working on a tutorial I found on the web. But my problem is the instructor keeps using a "Layer node". The node is labeled "layer", but for the life of me I can't find a "layer" node anywhere. I tried it with over and it kinda works but it doesn't get the same result as his. And yes I looked in the layers tab for "layer". Any one know where it may be?
