Thanks for your feedback. Just your suggestion now - following the instructions to the letter, but no joy. All I see is the background :(

I'm sure your method works, and I'm equally sure that it's something here that is causing the problem.

I've even tried exporting both MOVs to image sequences and trying to do the same thing with that too, but still no luck :(

Any other suggestions?
