Apple Shake Tutorial

Ok i did this once and if this shows up again sorry I got confused and never signed up or something. Ok, newbee to shake, not really sure what it did, but one i love apple and two i know not many production company's use this program in the area (maybe). Now shake came with a tutorial and I can't use it. I went through the first part and no i did not place a folder in the $home etc etc (remember newbee) I left it on my desktop so i know where it would be. But I tried the first tutorial and I can't find the files that it is asking for. So i moved on to the depth of field i think and look for a file called balloons or something like that. No luck. So to make it short and sweet, I have no idea how to use the tutorial. I have learned more frome reading things here and watching the vid tutorial then I have attempting to use the tutorial provided.
Thanks for any help u can give me,
Chuck Obie
