HD-SDI to MacBook Pro
by Michael Nikitin on Jun 17, 2009 at 7:00:50 am

Hi guys,
Would anyone happen to know whether it is possible to run HD-SDI signal from a Sony PMW EX1 to a MacBook Pro via Aja IoHD? My goal is to capture 10-bit ProRes 422 to FCP, bypassing the step of having to transcode from the 4:2:0 native XDCAM. (The reason I'd like to do that is some keying work that lies ahead.)
Is that something that's doable? And is it worthwhile?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
- Michael
