Clicking Sound Removal

Hey guys I have a question regarding the audio for a video clip I am currently working on.
Simply put, the audio from the clip has a constant clicking sound that clicks every second or so. I have attempted to use Soundtrack Pro's analysis feature and while it identifies all of the clicks, after hitting "Fix" nothing happens or if it does change the file it makes the ticking noise worse. I'm not an audio expert but I am fairly certain that issues such as this occur all the time and I know there are ways to getting rid of these types of noises so if anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated.
Note: These clips are impossible to re-record so that isn't an option.
Thanks
