How to archive a Soundtrack Pro project?

I just finished my first multi-track project in Soundtrack Pro (SP), for use in a short FCP7 video. Now the video is complete, and I would like to archive the sound elements, in case I need to go back and re-open the project at a later date.
What I hope to do is to be able to open the SP project file, and see it reconnect to all the sound media.
I have read the SP manual on "collect files", but I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it.
I tried using the "collect files" function, and in the new folder I created, I find not only audio files, but also copies of some of my video files. That has got me confused. Why would "collect" recruit video files? These files are not the small reference files that SP uses for video display. These are full blown ProRes422 copies of my dailies.
Has anyone encountered this? If it is how SP is supposed to function, can anyone explain to me what is occurring, that requires "collecting" the entire video, rather than just the audio from that media? Is it something I caused during my mixing in SP?
