Crossfades not exporting

Hi,

I am fairly new to soundtrack pro, and have had some trouble exporting my sound mix.
Basically, i had used some crossfades as I wanted to cut a chunk out of some atmos sound and then crossfade the cut. When i exported it, it did not export the crossfade and instead exported part of the bit I had deleted. I'm finding it hard to pin down what is happening, but maybe someone out there has had this problem before? i have tried to see if there are some settings wrong but have had no luck...
any advice would be much appreciated...
